An internal report contains only YouTube channel IDs. Engineers can work with them, but colleagues cannot recognize the creators. Resolve those identifiers to readable channel information without replacing the keys used by the report.

Preserve the identity column

Begin with a confirmed channel ID, not a video identifier or a handle. Put display information in separate columns. If a record cannot be resolved, investigate whether the original field actually identifies a channel. Do not guess from neighboring rows.

Choose links for their purpose

The contract describes a handle, title, standard channel URL, and vanity URL alongside the channel ID. Display the title for recognition and provide a source link for review. A shorter vanity address is convenient, but it should not replace the underlying identity relationship. Names and handles can change, and older labels may still matter to historical reports.

Date the refreshed display information

Record when you obtained the current details and spot-check destinations against the intended channels. This is a reverse lookup for channel references, not a complete channel profile or a video inventory. Obtain other information separately instead of inferring subscribers or activity. The resulting report should let business readers open the correct source while existing joins continue to use their original identifiers.

Request URL and parameters

GET https://api.trmesh.com/openapi/api/v1/youtube/web/get_channel_url

Parameter Type Required Meaning
channel_id string Yes Channel ID (for example: UCeu6U67OzJhV1KwBansH3Dg)

Run the Python example

Install requests and set TRMESH_API_TOKEN in your environment. Replace the sample identifiers with the public object you intend to inspect. Example IDs may no longer be available.

import os
import requests

# Read your own developer key from the server environment.
url = "https://api.trmesh.com/openapi/api/v1/youtube/web/get_channel_url"
params = {
    "channel_id": "UCeu6U67OzJhV1KwBansH3Dg"
}
response = requests.get(
    url, params=params, timeout=30,
    headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['TRMESH_API_TOKEN']}"},
)
response.raise_for_status()
payload = response.json()
print(payload) # Inspect the actual response before mapping fields
