Your partnership sheet contains YouTube handles, old custom URLs, and channel-ID addresses. Several may refer to the same creator. Comparing the URL strings alone can leave duplicate outreach records, so establish channel identity before evaluating content fit.
Keep the submitted URL intact
The V2 contract supports handle, channel, custom, and legacy user URL formats. Preserve each original address rather than trimming every path into a guessed common shape. A video URL is not a channel URL; establish the correct channel source before submitting that kind of reference.
Merge on the returned channel identifier
A successful result supplies the channel ID, a normalized URL, and the parsing source. Use the ID to group references while retaining all original submissions. Keep colleagues' notes separately: agreeing on account identity does not mean their partnership assessments are interchangeable.
Interpret the parsing source narrowly
The source indicates whether the identifier came directly from the URL or from parsing a page. It is not a rating of authenticity, activity, or quality. Spot-check merged records against the intended candidates before passing the list to editorial review. If conversion fails, keep the original reference in an unresolved queue rather than guessing an ID. The final sheet should clearly distinguish normalized records from those still requiring human confirmation.
