Define the observation before reading the list
For a public-information account, you may want to see which visible public accounts merit further reading. Supply screen_name and inspect the follower list. This is not an audience-profile report. It cannot directly establish real age, income, buying power, or reading habits, so keep the task focused on relationship records and public content observations.
A partial list is not the entire audience
Continue with cursor and preserve the inspected range and observation time. If comparing two hypothetical snapshots, explain whether both were collected in the same way. Differences between first pages are not automatically new or lost followers. Check actual identifiers when names change or records recur instead of merging or deleting solely by display name.
State what further research would require
Your notes could contain the source, publicly visible content direction, questions to verify, and sample limitations. Do not infer sensitive identities from biographies or treat following as consent to marketing contact. If the real question is what readers want to see, seek feedback through an appropriate channel separately. The deliverable is a reviewable observation that guides further research, not a precise-looking demographic chart or a claim to know every follower’s characteristics from a limited list.

Run the Python example
Install requests and set TRMESH_API_TOKEN in your environment. Replace the sample identifiers with the public object you intend to inspect. Example IDs may no longer be available.
import os
import requests
# Read your own developer key from the server environment.
url = "https://api.trmesh.com/openapi/api/v1/twitter/web/fetch_user_followers"
params = {
"screen_name": "elonmusk"
}
response = requests.get(
url, params=params, timeout=30,
headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['TRMESH_API_TOKEN']}"},
)
response.raise_for_status()
