A colleague points out that an X post in your report has an important counterexample in its comments. Reading those responses can improve the summary, provided you keep the scope tied to that discussion.
Collect around the intended post
Confirm the tweet identifier rather than substituting a repost or screenshot source. Preserve the original claim alongside comment material so objections remain understandable. Follow returned cursors when expanding the sample and record where collection stopped. The first batch does not represent every response.
Distinguish evidence from reaction
Separate firsthand accounts, requests for evidence, corrections, and emotional reactions. A comment's factual assertion needs checking even when it challenges the original post. Agreement does not necessarily reflect independent experience, and repeated retellings should not become artificial consensus.
Explain the actual point of disagreement
Describe which premise, example, or conclusion commenters question. Keep representative sources traceable and mark factual issues that remain unresolved. This capability is not a search across all related discussion. Failure to observe opposition does not prove universal agreement. The useful report addition tells readers where the dispute lies, rather than hiding collection and interpretation behind a claim that the comments all say the same thing.
