You are preparing a summary of international news discussion and want to see which reports appear in Reddit conversations. The news feed offers leads, but community attention does not establish reporting accuracy.
Define the news scope
The contract accepts a list of news subtopic identifiers, with all categories as the default. Use confirmed identifiers instead of guessing values from labels. Record the scope and retrieval time, then continue with returned pagination information. Different topic selections should not be merged into an implied continuous news ranking.
Preserve both discussion and reporting sources
The described response includes news posts, current-affairs discussion, and source links. Keep the thread reference and the linked report separately. One establishes what the community is discussing; the other contains the reporting being cited. Verify factual claims against that source rather than promoting a commenter's addition into a reported fact.
Add an evidence status to the briefing
For each candidate, write a discussion focus and indicate what remains to check. This is an editorial method, not a claim that any particular story has been verified here. News absent from recommendations may still matter, and post counts do not measure the whole public's attention. The summary should guide readers toward sources and further checking rather than presenting the feed as an arbiter of truth.
